Today I am speaking to Jasper Ribbers, fellow dutchman and professional AirBnB host without a fixed home address, constantly traveling the world. Jasper is author of the book Get Paid for your Pad and host of the podcast with the same name where he helps other AirBnB hosts improve their business.
After starting a corporate career in finance Jasper decided that earning a lof of money only changed the number on his bank account but didn’t change how he felt about life and decided the corporate career wasn’t exciting enough for him and he quit without knowing exactly what he would do afterwards.
He started a few online business after which he came across AirBnB as a concept and started to rent out his apartment in Amsterdam. Now he has sold this apartment and is looking to buy 3-4 places in different parts in the world and do something called slow travel. Spending a significant amount of time in one place after which to move on to the next destination.
Jasper talks about how to live in the moment and not think too much about the future and the past. What are the challenges to this lifestyle how he stays productive and even more importantly how he stays motivated being on his own. How he determines what he spends his time on. How to not resist reality.
His big dream for the next 5 years is that he would like to star in an AirBNB Tv show.
